Is the grass looking overgrown? Are the bushes and shrub’s branches looking messier than ever? You are probably in the first step of the daunting journey of trying to find a trustworthy lawn service provider.

This can be a hard process and many don’t know where to even begin. Here are the steps you should take to make sure you end up choosing the best company for you and your lawn:

Licensing and Insurance

First things first, make sure the lawn service provider of your choosing is licensed and insured. This should be the first thing you look for given how important it is. A lawn service company should be upfront with their customers about the qualifications, so be sure to ask.

Why is it so important? In the rare occasion of someone acquiring an injury or damaging your property, the insurance would cover it and you would not be found at fault. Although this is rare, it should be considered when choosing a company.

Great customer reviews

Thank goodness for those who write reviews! What customer’s say about a lawn service company matters just like any other company. By doing this research beforehand, you can avoid getting burned by a company that doesn’t live up to their “promised” standards.

Writing a review is something that takes extra effort from a customer (that they aren’t even required to write), so if someone is going out of their way to write a great review – it matters!

Multiple services being offered

Most of us aren’t just looking for a one trick pony. You probably have a long list of things you want done to your yard! Things like lawn mowing, landscape installation, fertilization and weeding are just a few things upon that list. Looking for a lawn service company that offers what you need only makes sense.

Hiring a company you can trust and depend on to do quality work every time is important to you. At Marathon Lawn Care and Services, our team will do exactly that and so much more.

  1. Thanks for your tips in hiring a lawn service company. Apparently, I am planning to get my landscape improved this summer. With that said, I’d like to hire the one that is licensed, insured, and has a great review from previous customers. Hopefully, I can find one that offers fertilization services.
